TWISTED WINDSWEPT JUNIPER SCULPTURES
The Juniper trees that are use here are from the highest, coldest, windiest regions of the Oregon Mountains. The wood is often referred to as, Twisted Windswept Juniper, as it is exposed to high winds creating beautiful and unusual grainy patterns and shapes. The tree is a survivor and it twists and turns through the soil seeking out the water and nutrients creating an amazingly beautiful sculptural forms. These are not drift woods as they are very solid and heavy. It often require many months of detailed and tedious work to produce just one sculpture. |
