The Shogunate were the ruling body of the government set up by the Shogun to run the affairs of Japan. The Emperor commissioned the first Shogun in 1192. Samurai most likely created the first beauty salon for heads. Ritual head
viewing ceremonies by the winning General (losing Generals were usually the ones
being viewed) were of great importance. The heads were cleaned, hair combed,
face make up applied and then a story of how they died was attached to the
